spotifySome spotify playlists compiled for your listening pleasure…

1. Musings – http://bit.ly/nishajl

Pulled together as many of the tracks referred to in my blog posts as I could find on the spotify system. I’ll update this as I post.

1a. The 10 – http://bit.ly/the10

The “master list” is getting a bit long so…these are the 10 tracks I can’t get enough of right now.

Updated from time to time when things come up but right now:

1. Hurricane Drunk – Florence + The Machine
2. Sunlight – Tune-Yards
3. Until We Bleed (feat. Lykke Li) – Kleerup
4. Multiply – Jamie Lidell
5. Cruel Intentions – Simian Mobile Disco
6. Lovesick – Lindstrom & Christabelle
7. Percussion Gun – White Rabbits
8. D.O.A (Death of Auto-Tune) – Jay-Z
9. Better Than The Best – Murs
10. Why Can’t There Be Love – Dee Edwards

(last update: May sometime – forgot to change the date)

2. Disfrutas los Orishas – http://tinyurl.com/dy39ad

Not sure if my Spanish is on point here but was trying to say ‘Enjoy the Orishas’ :) . This playlist includes all the tracks mentioned here.

3. Incubus – http://tinyurl.com/dfkrvr

For some reason, the album ‘Make Yourself’ isn’t available on spotify so I’ve made do without. Favourite tracks are ‘Warning’ and ‘Stellar’. Best band. Of all time. Ever.

4. ’95-’98: The R&B Years – http://tinyurl.com/dxoo35

What we’re gonna do right here is go backWAY backback into time – Dru Hill, K-Ci & JoJo, Blackstreet, Foxy Brown, Nas, 112, 2Pac, Usher, Joe…and loads more – there are around 60 tracks on this one and it’s still a work in progress…

5. Sunny Side Up - http://tinyurl.com/dg9h9n

Some old, some new, some from the ‘Musings’ playlist, some additions – if I could carry my laptop around like an eighties hip-hop stereo on my shoulder this would be the soundtrack to my summer. Updated for Summer 2010!

6. Joys of the 80s – http://tinyurl.com/qltjny

A labour of love inspired by the Boy Meets Girl classic, “Waiting For A Star To Fall”  popping into my mind, this playlist features the likes of Gloria Estefan, The Smiths, Journey, Belinda Carlisle, T’Pau, Janet Jackson, Prince, Chaka Khan,….well…you get the picture. As many 80s classics as I could think of.

More to come….watch this space.
