Next few posts are going back to R&B – starting with this track from an ex-Londoner signed to Sony Music offshoot J Records:
It’s the kind of soulful R&B that could easily be Alicia Keys, but it’s a track off the solo debut release from Marsha Ambrosius, “Late Nights & Early Mornings”. I’m not sure how I feel about the robotic background vocal coming in at about 4 and a half mins, but the rest of it has a beautiful neo-soul style to it.
The album, released March this year, comes complete with Anticipation intro - memories of the 90s.
