Airship – Algebra
Didn’t really know much about this band until just now – pulled them into my iTunes from a blog a few months back and haven’t remembered to investigate further until now, but I do love this song:

It’s the spaceship-taking-off intro repeated as a hook and the consistent stomping beat – a great one to play with the headphones up loud.
The band are unsigned, from Manchester, and are touring the UK at the moment. It annoys me when bands have auto-playing music/videos on their MySpace page that you can’t find to switch off so you can actually hear the music – I thought Airship were one of those bands… and was cursing them in my head, as it meant I couldn’t listen to their other tracks.
But I really can’t find a video/music player to switch off…so I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt and blaming MySpace.
