This track just has an infectious eighties disco feel that makes me smile over and over again – I’ve known about Audacity of Huge for a while, but only came across this one earlier this year on mflow.

Simian Mobile Disco - Temporary Pleasure (2009)

It’s got a great synth hook, a release-inducing chorus with the lyrics “Finally! The weight is off my shoulders…” and…definitely a summer party track – but this time some electro-disco to balance out the recent bout of hip-hop.

The song was on the 2009 album, Temporary Pleasure, which was followed up with Extra Temporary (not Extra Pleasure as it says on the last.fm page!) in March of this year, I think only as an mp3 download album over here.

A bit disappointed when I found out I just missed them supporting Hot Chip at Brixton Academy – was there the night before when it was Casio Kids…
