This is a track that came up as part of a mini SXSW project that was running at work in March – it’s by Australian singer-songwriter Megan Washington and starts off fairly minimalist, which is what hooked me in:

It evolves when the guitar kicks in though, into more of a US-style singer-songwriter/would fit perfectly on Grey’s Anatomy track.
Have a listen to some of the other tracks up on the MySpace and hear for yourselves but they weren’t what I was expecting, based on the intro to How To Tame Lions. They’re a bit more fun-pop, perhaps what this song turns into…?
How To Tame Lions is from an EP with the same name released on Universal towards the end of 2009 – I’m not sure it’s available in the UK but some of the songs are streamable from last.fm.
I think perhaps I was intrigued by the name…useful skill to have.
