A bit of spooky atmospheric for you – I think the word may be… “gothic”?
I first came across this band clicking through an NME blog post and have since found out they’ve been the support for The XX – providing a starkly dark contrast to their ‘dream pop’ vibe.
Their debut and self-released EP, 33, is available for free download on their website and from last.fm at the moment but my favourite track is the eerie and fairly nightmarish:

Their next London show is 4 Feb, details on the London Gigs page and it looks like they’re also supporting The XX again on March 3 at Shepherds Bush Empire.
