This is the song I thought had been going round and round in my head last week when it turned out to be Woodpigeon:

I’d heard this name thrown about quite a lot but hadn’t actually heard any of their music until I went to Pure Groove Records in August to see She Keeps Bees. Their album, Bitte Orca was playing over the speakers and trusty ol’ Shazam had to help me out when Temecula Sunrise came on and I just had to know who it was.

They’re dubbed as experimental-pop, I think because some of their music incorporates electronic elements with more traditional instruments and vocal harmonies, but this track is the acoustic version of the original creation and has a much purer, sweetness of sound.

I’m in the process of cleaning up my amazon wishlist and updating it with all the new stuff I’ve come across lately…this is most definitely going to be one of the additions…
