This find was the result of a “here, have this” gig listing e-mail from Charlotte LV – thank you Charlotte!
Hailing from Brookly NYC, his pronunciation is distinctive, as is the soft, throaty hue to his voice. This particular song has a bit of a carnival twist to it and isn’t really representative of the heartfelt yet understated and somewhat demure style of his songwriting.
“Fireflies” immediately conjures images of the eccentric puppeteer…or an impish mischief-maker causing havoc on the streets of some fairy-tale town with cobbled streets and a jolly old inn-keeper.
The track is from his new album, “El Radio” released in July 2009 on independent label Absolutely Kosher Records and is available from Fargo Store as an exclusive, limited edition “vinyl replica” with a 5-track bonus CD.
Chris will be performing at The Luminaire on 6 October as part of a month-long European tour. More music on MySpace and Last.fm.
