I haven’t been having much luck with Shazam lately – too many times I’ve held up my phone in the middle of a bar/gig looking like a pirate for the 30s it takes to tag a track only to find that it hasn’t been recognised. But I’m still persisting, and it paid off on Friday night:
Heard on the PA system at Cafe OTO – this, to me, is a beautifully authentic 60s British folk track. It came on after ‘Gimmie’ by She Keeps Bees – and could not have been more of a contrast (unless they’d been inclined to play some Slipknot, perhaps…)
Speaking of… Pure Groove In-Store tonight! FREE gig…heck yeah.
