The Daylights

I came across this band a couple of years ago whilst, I think, looking at another band’s profile on MySpace. The intro to this song has quite a space-aged, sci-fi feel to it…images of hurtling through the stars at super-speed come to mind:

The track isn’t on either of their currently available EPs – I don’t have ‘Sans Radio’ yet (favourite on that is ‘Guess I Miss(ed) You’) but I do own their ‘Shift and Blur EP’ and also really like ‘Outsider’, ‘Boy on the Moon’, ‘Happy’ and ‘You Know Who You Are’, all of which you can hear on their iLike page.

Their emotive pop-rock sound actually reminds me of Keane but I didn’t pick up on it until just now…

Been waiting for them to play in London since I found them and it looks from their MySpace webisodes that they were here.

I missed them.
