P.M. Dawn – If You Never Say Goodbye

I think most people who know of P.M. Dawn do so because of their early nineties hit ‘Set Adrift on Memory Bliss’ – but for me, it’s this:

Very much a Dana Scully wannabe in my early teens – largely thanks to my brother – this track featured on one of our favourite albums from back then, ‘Songs in the Key of X: Music From and Inspired by the X-files’.

It sounds very little like ‘Set Adrift…’ and has more of a creepy-ish rock edge to it.

Also on the album were the excellent Foo Fighters track ‘Down in the Park’, ‘On the Outside’ by Sheryl Crow and a really odd and crazy number by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins called ‘Frenzy’ (??!). These three are up on Last.fm but ‘If You Never Say Goodbye’, unfortunately, isn’t.
