Dido – Honestly OK
I wouldn’t say I’m a massive Dido fan…or even a Dido fan at all, really…but dreams of the impending heatwave of an English summer and accompanying thunderstorms reminded me of this particular song, of which I am very much a fan.

It’s from her debut album, ‘No Angel’, which also featured the tracks ‘Here With Me’ (the theme tune for Roswell High) and ‘Thank You’ (sampled for the Eminem hit song, ‘Stan’).
‘Honestly OK’ would have a trip-hop feel to it if it had the right beat but, as it is, it’s dark, moody and atmospheric but also a little pensive – as though she’s allowing us to hear her innermost thoughts, or we’re sneakily reading them in her diary…
