Optimists – Easy Way Out
Their website says “2007 is set to be the year of the Optimist” but 2009 is possibly the year we need the Optimists. My love affair with this band started back in ’07 when I first came across ‘Waking Up’ on lead singer Chris Howard’s MySpace and I’ve since downloaded every single track of theirs that they’ve made available.
‘Waking Up’ and ‘Never Easy’ are also up on the band’s MySpace and ‘Lovely’, ‘Wrong Idea’ and ‘Bridges’ are on weareoptimists.com along with a few others. Oscillating between good, honest acoustic rock and upbeat, optimist-ic pop.
