Death Cab for Cutie
Back from my brief walk down memory lane (see spotify playlist #5) – Death Cab for Cutie released ‘The Open Door EP’ at the beginning of this month for digital download and on CD through their online store, so I thought I’d point out a few of the tracks from two of their previous releases, ‘Plans’ (2005) and ‘Narrow Stairs’ (2008).
There’s only limited audio on their last.fm page but there are also some videos up there…
They’re touring the US at the moment and I’m hoping they’ll be coming back here soon – here’s their MySpace which has some other tracks up on it.
‘I Will Follow You into the Dark’ is by far my favourite of these – I think it’s going to be used in a Grey’s Anatomy episode that’s coming up soon (at least that’s the title of the episode!). Unlike Anthony McG‘s commenter Darren, I don’t think it was meant as an ode from a stalker to his prey…
